Let's stop trying to 'fix' the court

Ellen Bueno writes in her column at the Baraboo News Republic,
"So the reformers have a new idea now. If they can’t get rid of elections, they’ll get rid of re-elections. A special task force of attorneys from the state Bar of Wisconsin wants Supreme Court judges to be limited to serving one 16-year term.

"I don’t know why they think this will take the politics out of the process. Sure, we won’t have to endure nasty re-election campaigns, but partisan groups will still try to influence who gets elected in the first place."
